Red tea from the shoots of the Zi Mudan (Purple Peony) variety is made in the Wuyi Mountains (Fujiang Province) using gongfuhong production technology. Harvest: spring 2025.
In appearance: medium-sized, dark-burgundy, twisted along the axis tea leaves. The aroma is intense, fruity and woody. The infusion is transparent, amber-colored.
The flavor profile of the ready-made tea is multifaceted, fruity-and-floral, with honey, biscuit, herbaceous and nutty notes. The aroma is rich and warm, fruity-and-floral. The taste is full-bodied and smooth, sweetish, with fruity sourness and a long aftertaste.
Steep the tea in a hot water (95°C) in a gaiwan or in a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 6-7 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is 40 seconds. After that, starting with an exposure of 10-15 seconds and increasing the time to 3 minutes, you can steep the tea 7 times.
“Purple Peony” is your red reset button when everything around you starts to feel too complicated. It has an amazing ability to bring order and balance back to the world — at least to the internal world.
