A black tea (known as red tea in China) from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, harvested in 2022. Produced from the tender shoots of the Meizhan tea cultivar.
Dry Leaves: Elegant, tightly twisted dark brown leaves with slender stems. The aroma is delicate, offering fruity and floral notes.
Liquor: Clear, with a warm amber hue.
Aroma: Soft, sweet, and fruity-floral.
Taste: Refined, silky, and naturally sweet with a gentle astringency. Layers of sponge cake, wood, citrus, and ripe fruit unfold gracefully, balanced by a refreshing citrus acidity and a long, clean finish.
Brewing Guide:
Water temperature: 95°C (203°F);
5 g of tea per 100 ml of water;
Best brewed in a porcelain gaiwan or a porous clay teapot;
First infusion: 5–7 seconds;
Continue brewing using the gongfu method, gradually increasing the infusion time;
Suitable for 8 infusions.
