“Tongmu Xiao Zhong” is made in May 2025 from the spring shoots of wild small-leaf Xiaozhong tea variety in Tongmuguan village (1200 meters above sea level, Wuyi Mountains, Fujian Province).
In appearance: long, twisted, curved, dark brown leaves with thin petioles. The aroma is restrained, woody-berry. The infusion is transparent, amber-colored.
The flavor profile of the ready-made tea is vivid, woody-and-berry, with notes of dried fruits, creamy caramel and bergamot. The aroma is warm, fruity-and-berry. The taste is rich and smooth, oily, sweetish, with a subtle sourness and a refreshing finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (95°C) in a gaiwan or in a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 7 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is 20 seconds. After that, starting with an exposure of 5-7 seconds and increasing the time to 3 minutes, you can steep the tea 8 times.
