Mo Li Maofeng «Jasmine Downy Peaks»

Mo Li Maofeng (茉莉毛峰)

Mo Li Maofeng, meaning “Jasmine Downy Peaks,” is one of China’s most popular naturally scented green teas. It is crafted from premium Maofeng green tea, which is traditionally scented with fresh jasmine blossoms.

Maofeng (毛峰), meaning “Downy Peaks,” is one of China’s most celebrated green teas. The name refers to the fine white hairs covering the young buds and to the pointed shape of the leaves, which resemble mountain peaks. Today, Maofeng also describes a style of tea production in which one bud and two tender leaves are carefully harvested. This method produces teas with a balanced, elegant, and richly layered character.

Aroma: Light, delicate, and exceptionally clean. Natural jasmine takes the lead without overpowering the tea, gently highlighting the tenderness of the young leaves.

Taste: Smooth, balanced, and naturally sweet, with no bitterness. Notes of spring meadow, grape seed, fresh greenery, and blossoms unfold into delicate fruity nuances of peach and apricot.

Brewing Guide:

Water temperature: 80–85°C 2–3 g of tea per 100 ml of water; Best brewed in a porcelain gaiwan or a glass teapot; Brew using the gongfu method with gradually increasing infusion times; Suitable for 6–7 infusions.
