Lao Milanxiang Lingmei

Aged oolong from Lingmei tea farm (Chaozhou County). Shoots of Milanxiang tea trees were used as raw materials.

In appearance: thin, lilac-brown flagella of twisted tea leaves. The aroma is intense, berry-floral. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of mahogany, turns grape-yellow during brewing.

The bouquet of the ready-made tea is aged, multifaceted, floral-and-berry with spicy, tobacco, nutty, citrus and chocolate notes. The aroma is deep, complex, floral and berry. The taste is refined, oily, sweetish, with the delicate tartness of grape skins, citrus sourness, bitterness of cocoa beans and a lingering finish.

Steep the tea in a hot water (85-92°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is 15 seconds. After that do short steeps (5 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 9 times.

“Lao Milanxiang Lingmei” is a great Chaozhou Oolong with a multifaceted flavor, enchanting aroma and meditative effect. It is an excellent choice for a gongfucha style tea ceremony.
