Wudong Yashixiang Linmei

Highly fermented oolong from Lingmei tea farm (Chaozhou County), autumn harvest 2023. Shoots of Yashixiang tea trees from high mountain gardens at Wudong Peak were used as raw materials.

In appearance: thin, lilac-brown flagella of twisted tea leaves. The aroma is intense, fruity-biscuit. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of mahogany, turns yellowish during brewing.

The bouquet of the ready-made tea is bright, multifaceted, spicy-and-woody with floral, berry, tobacco and citrus notes. The aroma is delicate, berry-floral. The taste is dense, silky, sweetish, tart, with citrus sourness (with excessive concentration it quickly turns bitter) and lingering finish.

Steep the tea in a hot water (85-90°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 15 seconds. After that do short steeps (3-5 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 7 times.

“Wudong Yashixiang Linmei” is an excellent choice for a gongfucha style tea ceremony.
