Highly fermented oolong from the Wuyi tea region (northern Fujian province), autumnal harvest of 2023, medium heat.
In appearance: thin, red-brown flagella of twisted tea leaves. The aroma is intense, herbaceous. The infusion is transparent, light chestnut in color.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is warm, nutty-herbaceous with biscuit, tobacco and fruity notes. The aroma is deep, spicy-biscuit. The taste is dense, oily, mineral, sweetish, slightly tart, with fruity sourness and a lingering finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (90-95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. The proportion is 6-8 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 15 seconds. After that do short steeps (5-10 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea 6 times.
“Qilan, Fragrant Orchid Oolong” is a great choice for everyday tea drinking. The effect is warming, soft tonic.
